Love in the ricefield
What nature we want to save? What sight we want to care?
The field around Enokisawa firm is so beautiful, ideal place to feel the magnificence of nature. Mr.Takao Hayashi, small animal instructor, took us watching creatures in the field.
Before the fieldtrip, Mr.Hayashi told us about environmental issues. He said what creatures need to live are “Air”, “Food”, “Water” and finally, “Love”. He told stories of love in the field of small insects. In the concrete-covered world without soil on the ground, we can’t even find that kind of “Love”… After this story, we saw some pictures of city, the place where most of us are used to see. There is no difference as usual, but it was nothing but a deserted place.
We went to the fieldtrip in the afternoon. Mr. Hayashi told us about many kinds of insects. So many frogs in the field!! There is also an endangered species in it. They live so comfortable here.
“Organic farming without pesticide realize this world.”
We can feel relax here, so nice place!
“After watching many lives, let’s draw the one you feel most impressive and share with others.”
We drew the favorite one on the wood sliced in rounds. Three primary colors transformed into varied masterpieces.
We appreciated each other, and then, time to exchange! Each one present the own work, sing one phrase of favorite song and give it to partner.
When someone started singing “If you feel happy then clap your hands”, others joined and it became a big, powerful voice.
Love of small insects gives life to rice field, the rice field realize our life wealthy, and we can feel a big love.
Sound of frog. Green wave of rice field blowing by wind. Many dragonflies flying on it. Water strider gliding over the water of fields. We are singing in this nice environment. We dare to keep this precious scene forever.
