Global Day
Fifth day of our program was named “Global Day.” All the countries from which we had participants that year were introduced. Two major activities are “Cultural Introduction to Different Countries” and “Global Café, the introduction to international cuisines.”
Cultural Introduction to Different Countries
All participants and staff were divided into four groups and each group had a presentation and/or performance about different cultures and issues other countries had. For this presentation, we actually spent three days on preparation.
Global Café
Groups which were formed for “Cultural Introduction” now prepares cuisines from other countries. With a leadership and a guidance of international participants, each group worked hard to cook dishes which Japanese participants have rarely tried to cook before.
During lunch, we had guests from the neighborhood encouraging the close interaction between international societies and Japanese local people. We had a great time with interesting and amazingly tasty cuisines.
